Bournemouth Crush Everton 4-1
Bournemouth and Everton came face to face in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, 8 November, however Toffees fans were spotted leaving early due to an embarrassing 4-1 defeat.
Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth, England, became the battleground for the two teams, with both sides making several changes to their team line-ups ahead of the match.
The hosts set the tone of the match just seven minutes in, as striker Jamal Lowe swiftly secured the first goal. The rest of the first half passed with comparative quiet.
Bournemouth kicked off the second half with an equally impressive start as midfielder Junior Stanislas booted the second goal just two minutes in.
Everton finally showed some sign of life in the 67th minute, with midfielder Demarai Gray scoring the sole goal his side would see with an assist from forward Neal Maupay.
However, midfielder Emiliano Marcondes quickly crushed any spark of hope by scoring the third goal for the Cherries at the 78th-minute mark. Everton fans were spotted exiting the stadium moments later.
Four minutes later, midfielder Jaidon Anthony – assisted by his team-mate, Siriki Dembélé – claimed the final goal for Bournemouth.
